4. Event Content
The competition will be held in Zhuhai (National) High-tech Zone in China, Houston in the USA, and Tel Aviv in Israel. The competition is divided into two groups: the domestic group (including Taiwan) and the oversea group (including the United States, Israel, Macau and Hong Kong).
5. Participating Object and Conditions
(1) Participating object
a. Participants in the domestic group mainly include technology-oriented SMEs or start-up projects with forward-looking, innovative and independent intellectual property rights in the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Encourage excellent companies or start-up teams from other regions to participate.
b. Participants from the overseas group are faced to science and technology SMEs with forward-looking, innovative and independent intellectual property rights in the United States and Israel, or start-up projects for which the company has not been established yet.
The participating projects should be in line with the direction of industrial development in Zhuhai City. The areas involved include, but are not limited to, genetic engineering, cell engineering, biomedical materials, and gene sequencing technology, biological information technology, biochip technology, and medical devices.
(2) Participating conditions
a. The participating projects should have higher level of innovation and stronger market competitiveness, which should also have good economic potential and social benefits, and should have high-tech achievements that is easy to form into industries.
b. For enterprises which participating in the competition, the company should regulate operationally, has a good social image, and has high growth and innovation capabilities.
c. The ideas, products, technologies and related patents of the participating projects should belong to the participating teams and should not have any intellectual property dispute with other entities or individuals.
6. Competition Schedule
(1) Preliminary election
Through electronic review, the domestic team and the foreign team will be selected into the top 10 finals respectively.
(2) Special performance Final
A total of 20 projects were selected from the preliminary contest for the selection of winners in the competition, the domestic team and the oversea team competed for the first, second and third prizes respectively.
(3) Final
According to the category of the project, the final winning project will directly progress to the "JingNiuHui" or the "2018 First China Zhuhai Overseas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" grant finals.
